The Marquette Downtown Development Authority (MDDA) is accepting applications for parking grants for downtown businesses with part-time employees. Selected businesses will receive one complimentary daytime parking permit for the 2027 calendar year. The grant permit may be transferred between part-time employees during the grant period.

Businesses that have received a parking grant in the past are eligible to apply again. If applications exceed the number of permits available, preference will be given to businesses that have not previously received a grant and to businesses demonstrating that employee parking affects their ability to attract or retain part-time employees. Up to 25 grant permits will be awarded.

Parking permits are valid in the Lakeshore Lot, Rock St. Lot, Baraga Ave. Lot, Spring St. Lot, South Main St. Lot, Lower Commons Lot, and the Upper Level of the Bluff St. Ramp. Parking permits are valid Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Permits are not valid in the North Main St. Lot, Lower Level of the Bluff St. Ramp, or Pier Lot.

The application deadline is Friday, November 20, 2026, at noon.

Selected businesses will be contacted by the MDDA with instructions for activating their complimentary parking permit.
