EAST WASHINGTON STREET CLOSURE

Oberstar Inc. will be completing restoration work of the concrete crosswalk on E

Washington St at the Lakeshore Blvd intersection, which will require a full road closure

for the installation and curing of the concrete. East Washington Street, from Front St to

Lakeshore Blvd, will be closed to local and through vehicular traffic beginning

Wednesday morning May 6, 2026 through Monday morning May 11, 2026. The

sidewalk on the north side of Washington St will remain open for pedestrian traffic only.

Eastbound vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Front St to Main St, east on Main

St to Lakeshore Blvd, then north on Lakeshore Blvd.

The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for

construction and advisory signing
