Ladies Night Out is returning to Downtown Marquette! This annual event continues to be a favorite tradition for shoppers and businesses alike, providing the perfect opportunity to showcase your store, products, or services. Whether you’re planning special promotions, hosting giveaways, or organizing activities, this is a great opportunity as we head into the holiday shopping season.
At the Marquette DDA, we’re excited to once again promote this community tradition, but we also want to emphasize that the businesses themselves are the heart of this event. Shoppers are looking for reasons to stop in and experience what makes your location unique. The more you promote your own specials and activities, the more successful the night will be — both for you and the downtown as a whole.
What to Expect at Ladies Night Out:
To better accommodate shoppers’ schedules, Ladies Night Out will run all day. This allows attendees to explore at a more relaxed pace, reducing the rush and giving more people the opportunity to visit your business.
The busiest time will remain the 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM window, when most activities and shopping take place. We encourage you to plan your biggest promotions for this timeframe, but don’t miss the chance to connect with early visitors during the day.
The passport system will again be in place and valid throughout the entire day. Customers will present their passport, and your staff will mark your business name to show they’ve visited.
Businesses are encouraged to create their own specials, events, or unique experiences to draw in shoppers. Think of this as the start of the holiday season, an opportunity to set the tone and get people excited to shop downtown.
As in years past, we ask each participating business to provide an item for the raffle gift baskets. Shoppers who collect 10 or more marks on their passport will be eligible to win.
How to Register:
Downtown Marquette businesses* who wish to participate in Ladies Night Out on Thursday, November 13 should complete the form below. Please complete registration no later than Monday, November 3.
There is no monetary cost to participate in Ladies Night, however, we do ask for donated item(s) which will be included in gift baskets which will be given out to winners of completed passport drawings. These items could be a signature gift from your business, business swag, a gift card or multiple gift cards in smaller denominations, or another item of your choosing. Please be sure to label your item with your business’s information so winners know who donated which item! These basket items help to promote your business and entice participants to complete passports!
We expect 4-5 gift baskets, though this will vary depending on the number of participating businesses. We ask that you indicate below if you will drop your item off at the DDA office (337 W. Washington St. Mon - Fri ( 9am- 5pm) by 4pm on Tuesday, November 4, or if you will have your item ready for pick up November 1. If you apply after November 1 you will be required to drop your items off by 4pm November 4.
*Only brick and mortar businesses residing in Downtown Marquette are eligible to participate in Downtown Marquette Ladies Day Out.
