Tree Lighting 2009

Downtown Marquette celebrated the kick-off of the holiday season at the Commons on Friday evening, December 4th. The Marquette Redmen Chorale lead the crowd in holiday songs before Santa's arrival by fire truck (courtesy of the Marquette Fire Department). Santa was joined by Mayor John Kivela for the official lighting of the holiday tree. Afterwards, children were invited to get their photo taken with Santa (courtesy of CK Unlimited Photography) and take a pony ride.
