DMA
The Downtown Marquette Association, the DMA, is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1982 which is made up business and professional people in Downtown Marquette. The association annually elects a 13 member Board of Directors who oversee the operations of the organization according to adopted by-laws. The DMA is concerned with promotion and marketing of the Downtown area. Their purpose is to promote a healthy business climate downtown, to serve as an intermediary between downtown businesses and the community, and to offer assistance in the formation of new business starts in current vacancies in the downtown district. Their activities are funded in part by membership fees and in part by the DDA from the 2 Mill Tax Fund.
